Jon Ellenbogen became a Financial Advisor in 1999 to help families, foundations, and organizations better manage their wealth and invest according to their desires. His areas of expertise include creating customized investment strategies as well as risk and liability management. Jon founded Impact Capital Strategies in 2016 with his friend and colleague. Lori Johnston.
Over the course of his career, Jon has aimed to be known for providing clients with sound, trustworthy investment strategies. Jon again earned the distinction of being a Premier Advisor in 2019, 2020, and 2021 with Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network. The Premier Advisor distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network as measured by completion of risk and compliance training, business production based on the past year and professionalism. Net asset flow (NAF) may also be used to determine recipients.
Before entering the financial services industry, Jon was a dedicated and successful environmental activist. He founded a conservation organization, helped launch a large environmental coalition, and worked for a group of national conservation organizations.
Jon holds Series 7, Series 24, Series 66 registrations, and Life and Health insurance licenses.
Jon was born and raised in Michigan and graduated from Albion College in 1988. He enjoys music and yoga. Jon currently resides in Washington, D.C., with his wife, three children, and two dogs.

Always. I have no "off-switch".

I am inspired by Molly Tuttle, Kino MacGregor, and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.
What charities do you support?
Greenpeace, Doctors Without Borders, BLM foundation, and Miriam's Kitchen among many others.
What's something you can't do now but are learning?
I'm working on Eka Hasta Vrksasana – one handed tree pose. I'm not sure I will ever get there, but there is value in trying.
What's on your bucket list?
Seeing a whale in the wild while kayaking – that's it!
