Ashley Lazarewicz has been in the financial services industry since 2008. She started her career with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management after graduating from Salisbury University, where she held roles in business management, operations, and financial planning. She briefly joined Wells Fargo Advisors, where she met and worked with Jon for two years before returning to Merrill Lynch to begin her career as a Financial Advisor.

In 2020, Ashley joined Impact Capital Strategies to align her business with the team’s client care philosophy and their commitment to socially responsible investing. She serves as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional where she helps her clients through comprehensive retirement, educational, and investment planning.

Ashley grew up in a family business: Hall’s Family Restaurant in midtown Ocean City, Maryland. Growing up in an entrepreneur family, she was inspired to earn a business degree and launch her own business where her entrepreneurialism would push her to success.

Ashley proudly served as the President of the Business Women's Network of Howard County, an organization where local business women collaborate and strategize to build a stronger community. Ashley has served on the board of directors since 2017 and in prior roles was the Program’s Chair and a Scholarship Committee Member. The BWN Scholarship Foundation established the Lifelong Learner Scholarship Program, where they assist women in getting back on their feet in pursuing degree programs as well as technical, certificate, or training programs instrumental for success in business and community leadership. She also established the Business Women’s Network Golf Club.

In 2022, Ashley accepted board positions with MakingChange and the Arc of Howard County. MakingChange is a Howard County based non-profit organiation providing free and personalized financial counseling and education to individuals and families. They envision a community where all people have financial independence to achieve their hopes and dreams. The Arc of Howard County strives to achieve full community life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities - one person at a time. Ashley serves on the Arc's Resource Development committee where they focus on community awareness and outreach.

Ashley holds Series 7, 9, 10, and 66 FINRA registrations. She is a licensed agent for Life, Accident, and Health Insurance. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Salisbury University.

Ashley lives in Ellicott City, Maryland, with her husband Steve, two daughters, Skylar and Addison, and their goldendoodle, Ollie. She loves returning to Ocean City to visit family and enjoy the beach and bay. In the winter, they all enjoy taking trips to the mountains to ski and snowboard.

The long term impact of the pandemic and how it has changed us psychologically.

What energizes you about your career?

I look forward to seeing how the journeys of the families I support unfold over the next 30+ years of my career.

Who or what inspires you?

My daughters. My inspiration every day is to be the best role model for them and provide them with the tools to have a bright future.

Any claims to fame?

I ran the full Baltimore Marathon in 2019. Hardest thing I’ve ever done and I said I’d never do it again. But I might!

What are three things people would be surprised to know about you?

I get nervous public speaking though I do it all the time. I was a professional figure skater. I like to eat the entire shrimp tail on sushi rolls.
